Chynoweth Residence
This rental home in St George was being sold and the floors were in bad shape from years of water damage in the kitchen. About 200 square feet was removed and replaced and all the solid #1 Common Red Oak floors were refinished to new condition.
Williams Residence
I was called in to "fix" a refinish of another local St George refinishing company. It was the worst job I had seen in my career spanning 35 years. The coating was full of debris and there were applicator marks and roller lines all over the floor. The other company was unable to fix their problems and walked away. They would not give this client their money back. It cost $ 2200.00 to fix all the issues but I resolved them all.
Arnold Residence
This Duck Creek log home is a luxury rental also used by its homeowner. It wasn't in bad shape but the owner felt it needed refinished to keep up the rental standards. Common 3/4" x 5" Hickory.
Brian Head General Store
I refinished the Brian Head General Store with Poloplaz Primero Matt Luster Polyurethane. The fastest drying, curing and hardest oil base polyurethane on the market. This process took a week to perform and the floor was brought back to a new condition.
Spooner Residence
This Cedar City home was remodeled and ready for resale. Generally homes for resale take two coats of polyurethane vs three to save on the remodel cost. The buyer is offered a third coat if desired at their expense to double the life of the refinish after the close of escrow.
Larkin Residence
This historic home in Cedar City is under a complete remodel and the original Vertical Grain Douglas Fir floors needed refinishing. I sanded and applied three coats of oil polyurethane. They look new again.

This home described by the builder as "in the middle of nowhere" in Cannonville, UT lived up to its description. I only sanded and finished this floor. Others installed this 3/4" x 2 1/4" Select Red Oak. Job completed December 2016.
Spilsbury Residence
This #1 Common Red Oak floor in Hurricane, UT needed refinishing due to wear issues and age. We applied two coats of Poloplaz Supreme and a final coat of Poloplaz Primero Satin. With this many coats of the highest grade of polyurethane the floor should last 15 years. Job completed December 2016.
Eklund Residence
We refinished this solid 3/4" Brazilian Cherry after 14 years of use. To modernize this home which was up for sale we sanded out the bevels and the hand scraping back to a flat smooth low luster polyurethane finish.
Beckett Residence
This was a refinish of a 1940's Douglas Fir subfloor and a White Oak bedroom subfloor installed directly over the joists. Of all the Fir floors I have refinished this was in the best shape I have come upon.
Removing Aluminium Oxide Polyurethane
Most all prefinished wood floors manufactured since 2000 have a wear resistant polyurethane called Aluminium Oxide. Most of them offer a 25 year wear warranty with the sale to the original owner. As floor finishers we cannot sand this product off. We have to score it off with diamond blades.
Harley Residence
This home has three bedrooms of solid Maple added onto the existing floors. We refinished the rest of the floors along with the three bedrooms to match the color and polyurethane scheen.
Arbuckle Residence
This was my first experience at sanding a hand scraped floor back to a smooth flat floor. This client wanted to update their floor to line up with today's colors and features. Hand scraping "was" the look of the 2000's. The client was performing a light remodel with new paint for cabinets and walls, carpet and a floor refinish. I was in first.
Mathews Residence
This home had its original floors from the 1950's. It had never been refinished as it was covered with carpet for decades. Amazingly in near perfect condition with no stains. 1/2" x 2" solid Select Red Oak refinished back to a natural color with satin polyurethane.
