Refinishing Wood Floors in Homes with Pianos
It is not unusual to find pianos in homes where the refinishing process will take place. Most clients will pay a large fee to have the piano removed and then reset once the refinish process is completed. Most refinishers will require the piano to be removed. I have Refinished Wood Floors many times with the piano left in place. It is an extra challenge but it is doable. Saving the client the extraordinary cost of moving their piano or potentially damaging their new refinish in the process of moving it back into the home is highly appreciated. It’s not that big of a deal for the refinisher that has the skill to preform the refinish with the piano in place. Covering the piano with plastic so that no sanding mist enters the piano and slightly moving the piano legs between the staining and coating processes leaves the completed project looking as if the piano was removed. There is a small fee for this obstacle but it is minor compared to the complete removal of the piano. Contact Greg Warren Hardwood Floors for a free estimate.
