Allinson Residence in Toquerville
Two rooms were added to this existing 3/4" x 3 1/4" Number 1 Common Red Oak. It was a solid floor installed over concrete with a 5/8" plywood on slab subfloor. Solids have to be stapled down. This was finished natural with three coats of oil polyurethane.
Snow Residence in Washington
The Snow's wanted to add onto the original installation from last year. We added the living room and a staircase in solid prefinished 3/4" x 3 1/4" Red Oak.
Smith Residence in Kayenta
This client in Kayenta had a flood in their casita. We replaced it with solid 11" wide Eastern White Pine. 3/4" plywood was installed over the concrete as solid floors have to be nailed. The floor was stained with polyurethane.
Snow Residence
This client in Washington replaced a tile floor for this 3/4" x 3" Solid Prefinished Red Oak floor. I used full spread adhesive and stapling to control movement and sound reduction for the lower floor of the house. This was a very labor intensive floor to install with multiple technical issues involved.
Honchen Residence
This client in St George wanted to replace the carpet in their master bedroom for this Rewards Shores Barbados engineered wood floor. High Quality-Low Price.
McCabe Residence
This client chose Rewards Engineered Hickory for their master bedroom and guest bedroom floors. A quality floor at an affordable price.
Grace Episcopal Church
A fire destroyed the Alter at this church in St George. I was asked to access and replace with a new wood floor. A floor of similar color was picked in a wider width of engineered construction and prefinished. It took one day to remove the floor and two days to install the new one. A framed border was installed to enhance the overall appearance.
Anderson Residence
This home in Cedar City has an existing Vertical Grain Douglas Fir floor. The client wanted to add the same floor to the kitchen and nook to match the existing. All the floors were refinished/finished for an eventual match in color and polyurethane luster.
Macfarland Residence
This client in St George wanted the highest quality floor available in White Oak. Rift & Quartered was the choice. A grain free face. They also wanted a coating that did not yellow or amber with age. That was epoxy water base by Basic Coatings in their Super Matt luster for that
contemporary look.
Lunceford Residence
This client in Washington wanted to replace their carpet with a new solid Walnut floor. The house was on a slab so we had to install 5/8" plywood nailed to the slab with a moisture barrier. Solid wood has to be nailed. Reducers are installed to match up
to other floor coverings.
Maughan Residence
This client wanted their entry way replaced in full with new solid 8" White Oak white washed with a 15" Walnut border made from solid 5" Walnut stained dark. It took a week to produce.
Stockton Residence
Visions Cornerstone Hickory Timeless 1/2" x 7" engineered flooring was chosen for this remodel home in New Harmony. The entire main floor and the staircase.
Ovard Residence
I added 600 sf of new Red Oak to the existing 400 floor. I updated the color from an old aged white wash to a light gray taupe with non yellowing polyurethane.
Rapaglia Residence
This client in St George wanted hardwood floors throughout the whole house upstairs and downstairs. We installed and finished 3/4" x 3 1/4" Number 1 Common Red Oak. One of the most beautiful stains I have created; ever!
Plywood On Slab Installation for Solid Floors
Solid Floors have to be nailed down. That doesn't stop them from being installed on a slab subfloor. This is how plywood is installed correctly to a slab.
Oberdick Residence
This homeowner in Kayenta wanted to match a solid Character Hickory from another part of their home. Somerset floors had the perfect choice in prefinished engineered. It was glued directly to the dry checked slab after it was cleaned & ground flat.
